IT Audit Partner Job Los Angeles CA

Salary: $200K to $350K

Progressive, growing and profitable CPA firm seeks a Partner for their IT Audit / Enterprise Risk Management group. A direct entry Partnership could be considered for Partner, Senior Manager or Director candidates with a substantial client following / book of business in CA. Title: ERMS Partner. Location: Los Angeles, CA. Can also base in either San Jose or Orange County, CA.

Summary: Responsible for continuing, establishing and managing relationships with key client financial and/or executive management, identifying project opportunities, creating proposals on identified project opportunities, pulling in appropriate expertise to scope and win business opportunities, meeting and/or exceeding client expectations, monitoring progress on engagements, billing and collecting from clients, and, as required, working as part of a team of technical professionals and recruiting people to ensure successful delivery of the firm’s engagements. Must be able to build a new infrastructure and should be well versed in IT Audit, Internal Audit, Systems Consulting, SAS70, SOX Consulting, etc.

Essential Functions: 1. Continuing developing business opportunities to assist clients with the effective implementation of the Sarbanes Oxley Act, Section 404 responsibilities, providing internal audit co-source, and/or providing litigation support and/or assistance, as well as SAS 70. 2. Effective deployment of Sarbanes Oxley; including COSO and implementation assistance. Work with management, understand and document processes and key internal controls, identify weaknesses and recommend solutions. Generate appropriate documentation surrounding the company’s internal control processes for attestation under Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as documentation of all control processes per Section 404 using the firm’s Methodology. 3. In-depth understanding of enterprise risk-management and the role played by governance, ethics, risk and compliance. 4. Coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously under minimal supervision and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. 5. Understanding of performing risk assessments, operational processes reviews, evaluating internal controls and developing conclusions about the effectiveness of the assignment. 6. Maintain a strong client focus by building strong relationships with clients, scheduling and conducting key client meetings and participating in the new business development process. 7. Lead a skilled group of internal control people and be proficient with the broad range of skills. 8. Maintain an awareness of current developments within the profession particularly as they relate to clients and be able to be a thought leader.
